The overall digital audio business has more than weathered the health crisis in 2020 by seeing its revenues grow by 13% compared to 2019 as reported by the IAB’s newly issued Internet Advertising Revenue Report, reaching for the first time an overall volume of more than 3 billion for the industry (streaming radio, podcasting, and music services). If the progression is relatively modest for desktop audio (+6%), it is much stronger for mobile (+15%).
This increase is in line with the growth of the global digital advertising market, which in 2020 will represent revenues of 139.8 billion, an increase of 12.2% compared to 2019.
