Programming formats describe the overall content of the material played by an Internet Radio station or property. Music, Sports/Talk, Alternative Rock are all examples of terms commonly used to describe this content. It's this content that Internet Radio listen to and and it also describes their respective listening preferences.
TargetSpot allows you to target listeners by programming format for two reasons:
- It provides an extremely useful way to reach desirable audiences for your products and/or services.
For example: Certain programming formats are known to skew towards listeners of certain genders and age groups. Therefore, having the ability to only target those listeners who might be male or between the ages of 24 and 35 might be very useful if you're selling a product that contains people matching those demographics.
- It helps make sure that you're advertising to the right listeners for your product or service.
For example: A Campaign that advertises Hip-Hop records is not a good fit for listeners of Talk radio, Gospel and other programming formats. Without the ability to segment listeners by what they're actually listening to your advertising would be far less effective than it might otherwise be.
